This really is a neat city. Last night something I ate didn't sit well. I was up most night in bathroom. But in the morning we got up and hiked the castle hill. We saw the old palace in Buda and the Parliment in Pest.
First we hiked along the Danube, then across the Chain Bridge. The hike up the hill was turning but the view was worth it. When we got to the top we explored the view from the old palace. It is now a museum.
After the Old Palace, we hiked over to St. Mathews church. What a magnificent structure. At the base of the church, the Fishermans Bastion is a pretty neat structure as well.
Hiking down the hill and across the Chain Bridge again, we made our way to Parliment. It was in session so we could not go inside. It was a beautiful building and my pictures don't do it justice.
Here we are about to get on chain bridge. The funny hing was that as the day went on, the sights got better and better.

View from hill climb to the palace.
Parliment from door of palace.

East end.
Some of the old palace before rebuilt by Hoffburgs.
St. Matthews church.
Look at tile on rooftop.
This this the Fishermans Bastion. Really neat look over city. It was built in 1896 for the millennial celebration of Budapest.
View from the Bastion to St. Matthews.
St Matthew statue. I think this is the first king Matthew. Not the St Mattew in the bible.
More views from the Bastion.
Words can't describe how neat it was to see all this history and architecture.
We walked next to this beautiful Parliment.
Lion on the bridge has dead eyes.
We saw this crew competition. See the Viking boat!!!
West End of Parliment.
Building was massive. Completely awesome.
These cone cakes are awesome. See how they are made.
After a break, we went on a river tour on the Danube. Really fun way to end the visit to Budapest.
