Dora's 7 th birthday party

My Dora turned 7!  I can't believe she's growing so fast. For her birthday she wanted an animal birthday so we took her to the Bayou Wildlife Zoo. It was pretty fun. She had 25 people at the party.
Emmy insisted I take a picture of her at every single thing.
This is the closest I've ever been to a giraffe. They are really tall.
This hog was so arthritic I think bacon was in its future.... Lots of bacon.

Last day of fun

So this week our kids have been sick. It started with Bridget and Dora on Tuesday. Then Eli sick Tuesday night and Wednesday. Well we thought we avoid the rest. Last night as I fell asleep at 11 I heard Tessa cough gag and vomit. So I cleaned her. Mom changes her linens then I slept on the floor in her room cleaning up vomit each time she awoke. I got smart and mixed half a phenergan into Motrin. She slept a little longer in between vomits. Here she is after vomiting on Bridget this morning. I changed her bathed her and she fell asleep on my lap.
We loaded up in the car and went to the ski resort for tubing. Unfortunately, my hands were too cold to use my cell phone.
Happy kid. Fun time.
Happy kids fun time.
Dora was off playing with cousins. She was happy having a fun time.

Here's Emmy being Emmy.

More fun in Washington

So we had more fun with the animals. They were begging to pet and brush the pony all day.
Tessa loves this swing. She kept saying that the wind tickled her.
At night we made clay lamps with grandma Lila. She had some modeling clay and we made functioning lamps!
Today we got up and got a phone call from the post office that grandma's baby chicks arrived. You've never seen so happy a clan!
Eli grandpa and I went out to the shop and found a grinder and cut a rock open. It is really pretty but I don't think there is wood in it.
Here is some wood we tried to cut.
Tonight was Derrick, Perry, and Dora's birthday party! So much fun!
We had a fun time with sculptures.
I made an elephant lamp

Saddle mountain Rock Hounding

We got up in the morning. Eli wanted to go rock hounding. So we drove to Saddle Mountain. This was a verticals climb. That small dot is the car.
Look at Eli. What a mountain goat.
This was our break spot.
Our view. See the tiny dot? That was the car!
Grandpa was good to watch the girls and throw rocks at cans.
Look at our haul.
The one on the right is oak. We think the dark is an elm.
