Kauai photo dump

Here are the last of the pictures from our trip. This is a road map of the island. You can see where we drive. I wish I had taken more pics driving around. Really pretty mountains.
The little blue rental car. We called it the blue booger. Cause it's blue. And it performed like a booger.
Here is the Koi pond. Really pretty and kinda gross. They are just expensive carp.
Here is Poipo beach. I went for a drive while Bridget made Leis
Another shot of the Koi pond.
Hotel view to the beach.
Beach view where I surfed.
Path along hotel and beach.

Agri-Kauai-tural

We went on a chocolate plantation and botanical garden tour. They grew the tropical fruits in site and cacao. It was really tasty and fun

Here is a vanilla bean in the stock.

Dragons eye.
Passion fruit.
Pretty. Amazing. Beautiful. And two hanging flowers.
Cacao on the tree.
The tasty innards. Actually they don't taste good till they ferment and get roasted.

Waimea? Why-you-a? Why-not-a?

Today was Sunday. We got up and ate breakfast. Bridget wasn't feeling too well so she took a nap. I went to church. Then when she was feeling better we went to Waimea Canyon. The Grand Canyon of the pacific. It would be really fun to hike it some day.

This was the Kauai Kookie company. It was really not a bad lunch stop.
Here is a fraction of the canyon. 3500 feet straight down.
See that waterfall?  Way out there?
Panoramic majesty and stuff.
Beautiful. And a canyon.
We ate dragon fruit. It tastes like kiwi. But looks like a flower bomb.
We drove 10 miles down a crappy sand gravel road to Polihale beach.
This guy passed us going way fast. Karma exists in Hawaii
Base of the Napoli coast.
In the distance  you can see Niihau. Forbidden Island.
Going to the Napoli coast.
See what I'm looking at?  Artistic.
