Eli lost his second tooth!

Eli and his increasingly toothless smile! Now he likes to spit a lot for no reason.
Bridget is working on her books so I'm on kid duty. Again. So we had an afternoon swimming then had dinner outside.

Popsicle break.
Here is our dinner! She is trying to feed herself.
Nothing better than dinner in swimsuits. Toss them in the pool and clean up is done!

Or I guess I could just spray them off with a hose next time.

YouTube

I am a YouTube junkie. It is my social media, entertainment, and time killing outlet.

I have been putting up videos of kids for anyone interested in seeing my kids grow.

My channel is hobomud

Daddy Dora Time!

Dora and I have been having a fun time playing pet store owner.

I just bought a bunny, a chicken-monkey high-brid, a baby elephant that doesn't make poop or pee, and a kitty.

She only made me pay for the bunny. The others she tossed in for free.

Oh, the chicken monkey is toilet trained. The pet store owner trained it after doubling it. She basically fused a chicken monkey. It had the best features of both: it makes eggs for eating, but it doesn't stink, and it is very playful and can flush the toilet. And it gets along with the baby elephant.

We have been having races around the living room. It's a rally style race... Racing for time. It's safer that way. The kitty rides the bunny, and the elephant is running by itself. The chimonken is the race master.

Names? We got them covered.
Chicken-monkey? Chimonken of course.
Bunny? Floppy.
Kitty? Shinta.
Elephant? Elle.

They are all girls so they can be dressed up and play house.

It has been a fun afternoon. Daddy's taking a break and watching tv with Dora.

Testing my offspring!

Bridget wasn't around for this. I figure 9 months is old enough to test if some genetic traits were passed on.

Test. Is she a Baker dominant or recessive?

After feeding her dinner I gave Amethyst a sprinkling of Lucky Charms to see if she inherently chooses marshmallows or the sawdust shapes. Dominant Baker genes show they go strait for the marshmallow (bypassing the sawdust particles).

First bite.
Marshmallow!
She is just like the rest!

Don't judge me. I used free range organic pesticide and plastic free name brand Lucky Charms.

Bridget's Birthday

I had to work the day of her birthday so we went out to celebrate the night before. We went to tucanos! Then to wolverine!

We had an hour between dinner and movie and with a baby sitter it was nice to talk with my beautiful wife.

We had a fun night. Good food. Good movie.

Sunday

Emmy, Amethyst, and Dora were all running fevers. So we stayed home from church. Emmy and Dora responded nicely to Motrin, Amethyst was grumpy all day!  Unfortunately, Bridget came down as well. Eli was healthy so he went to the backyard and made inventions.
If you can't tell, they are slingshot weapons to get snakes... Eli is also out collecting bullets.

I love that little man!

Vintage Dora. Classic Emmy.

Don sent this picture of Dora from a year or so ago. She is so tiny!

This is my puffin muffin
Here is Emmy from yesterday. The expression on her face is "where's mommy?"
Followed closely by, "You're not mommy!"

Airplane Thursday

Eli and I got a paper airplane book! We are having a blast.
We have made the Hammer, the Ninja, the Spy Plane, the Hurricane, the Professional, the Space Craft, the Headhunter, and the Dart. We made others I forgot!
Oh and the Pteroglyder

Sad Baby

Sad sick Amethyst.
Runny noses. Cute cute Toeses

Emmy's New Look

She kept coming in, asking me to help her get dressed.

Third.
Then the hat.
Then a backwards hat.
So cute! She is awesome.

Hand Sanitizer

This is my journal so I just wanted to remember.

This is hand sanitizer. It is for cleaning hands. Not for drinking. 429 Etoh

Cotton Candy

So. I am getting better at making Cotton candy. Bridget got a little cotton candy machine and I am becoming quite the confectioner.

Now that we are farmers..

Our kids check the eggs 3-4 times per day. We are getting about 6-7 eggs a day and 1-2 double yolkers per week. The kids think those are awesome. They are right.

One of the nice things about the eggs is that whenever they are hungry, they will eat an egg. So far scrambled, fried, boiled are the favorites. I tried to get them to drink one and they all said no.

Dora really made me feel special at church today. She wanted to sit on my lap and kept hugging me. Eli was really cute too. He put his head on my lap and pretended to be asleep. I felt like my older two appreciated me. Which has been nice because the younger two have been grumpier than usual with me.

More ice cream fun.

In church.

This picture makes me laugh.

I went to check on kids last night and found Dora sleeping on the floor in front of stairs. I moved her to the floor in her room.

Here she is sleeping in Eli's room. Those kids crack me up.

Daddy's day out

I took Eli, Dora, Emmy, and Amethyst to Chuck E Cheese's so the kids could be a kid. They had fun. Eli kept saying, "I'm so excited I can't stop smiling!"

I know what you're thinking, " aren't you afraid of the kids getting sick?"

Not really, Emmy and Amethyst were already running fevers, and Dora and Eli has runny noses. So we should be ok. But FYI, don't go to Chuck E Cheese's in Katy, we left our germs there, and the Spiderbot game is harder to beat than it used to be (I only got 18 tickets when I used to get 50 at a time.)

Goofing around.

Dora fell off coffee table (which really should be a hot chocolate table) and landed on her arm. She cried and cried but it was not broken. To be funny we put a cast on to trick mom. Eli wanted in on the fun too.

So here are are injuries treated with some old casting supplies.

Fruit bars outside.
