I worked a lot this summer from July through August I didn't even have enough time to do a short trip or take kids to the beach. So, we are taking them to Orlando as a Christmas and summer trip. We pulled kids out of school. But instead of paying for 7 airplane tickets, we decided to drive. We loaded up Thursday and drove to Baton Rouge. We met with cousins and played, then went to get Beignets. It was pretty fun. Hard to get all those kids to hold still.
They had a little electric motorcycle. Really fun to watch them zip around. Price Eli's protective Kevlar pajamas. And invisible DOT approved helmet. 
We hiked around the alligator enclosure. Then played on a vine.

We got up and went to a farmers market. Got some good pie and beef jerky. 
Frozen beach time.
