Galveston continued.

We ate dinner the first night at IHOP. Eli came up with a couple of funny jokes. 

"If this is IHOP, why aren't more people jumping up and down?"

And,

"Hey Dad, what is a frog's favorite restraunt? IHOP! Get it?"

My meal buddy as always. 

In the morning I took the big kids too the ferry. They loved it. We saw three dolphins and lots of huge boats. 

Sweet precious. 

When Amethyst woke up from her nap, we loaded up and went to schlitterbahn. That's when phone got locked up! No more pictures for fear of ruining/losing my phone. 

Galveston Vacation

We took a week vacation once Eli's school ended. We went to church in morning. Then packed our bags and fed the chickens and took off. We are staying at Holiday Inn Resorts. We have a two bedroom condo on the fifth floor. 

Since it was Sunday, we stayed dressed up and let kids walk in waves. That soon turned into swimming in church clothes. Oops. Best laid plans...

We took Tessa's pants off, Bridget changed onto something comfortable. We had fun. Kids were so excited. 

While waiting for our room (there was a delay) we went to Salsas Mexican Restraunt. The kids were wet, sandy, tired, and in Tessa's case poopy. But we had fun. 

Kids were awake before the sun. We had a breakfast of eggs, cereal, and yogurt.

In tradition, Dora wanted to be burried. She is under my hat.

Then she begged me to build her a castle taller than her. It took me an hour to build this with Eli and Emmy knocking it down. It took her three seconds to destroy it.

Emmy's Birthday

Emmy wanted a Halloween birthday costume party. She turned 3.  Cute little bug. You've never seen a happier girl.

Tessa got scared if me. I was Bain. She was Batman. I understand why she was scared. So I had to change. 

Bath time fun. It quickly turns into bath time screaming happy time. Then just bath time screaming time. Then just screaming time. Then "daddy wonders what he was thinking time". Followed lastly by excedrin migraine time. 

After dropping Eli off at school and Dora at preschool, I found a turtle on the road. I was gonna show it to Dora. But it ran away. Here is Emmy loving the new turtle friend. 

We celebrated the last day of school by a  family Tucanos trip. 

We went to Luke's wedding (Bridget's first cousin Luke) it was at a Catholic Church near Minute Maid Park.

I've been working out for 5-6 months with Bridget. We've been doing Body Pump, Body Combat, and Core Crushing. All of these are Les Mills products. I've also tried dieting a bit. This is the best I have ever looked. My goal is to bulk up a bit. Gain 10 lb muscle. Since this is my journal, I'm posting a pic of me at 36 years old.

Dora wanted me to video her dancing and singing. Emmy did too then Emmy got in a funk. This is a pretty typical morning.

Sundays are Fundays

I have worked every weekend for the past 3.5 months. I have made it to church a handful of times. I am actually thinking of changing jobs because of how many Sundays I work. Bridget has been getting kids ready without help every week. She is a really good mom. 

I got about 4 hours sleep last night from 3-5:30 then 630-8. When I got up Bridget didn't complain. All kids were dressed and fed. 

She is such a good mom. 

Kids are crazy. But man they are cute. 

Exciting times

I know you are not supposed to take pics at church, but the kids program was too cute not to take pictures of. Hand actions and everything.

Celebrating w uncle Brian. 

Bridget took the girls on a play date, Brian and I went shooting. First we did pistols at 30 feet. Then skeet. It was pretty fun. 

I had all shots in orange for first 100 rounds then started getting fatigue. I really started to miss after that.

Uncle Golden's Visit

Uncle Golden came to visit. We took them to NASA. In another life that would have been really neat!
