So after leaving Glastonbury and King Arthur we drove to Bath. What I don't have pictures of is the tiny little paths of cement barely wide enough for one car that they call streets. It was exhilarating to drive. Frustrating to navigate. Glad Bridget had a cell phone with gps. I wish I had more pictures of the country side. But I don't.
When we got to bath we went to the Roman ruins. This was a street pigeon tamer. Dora thought this was the coolest thing in the world.
I did not get a picture of the bird on her head after the bird tamer we went to the Roman ruins. These were being built here as peter and Paul were spreading the gospel. Really cool to think about that.
These would have been the coins that Jesus said "Render to Caesar that which is Ceasar's"
These are curse tablets. Or Roman prayers to their gods. Asking harm on their fellow human. Opposition to what Christ taught.
Here we are where the Bath water comes out of the ground
These would be the public baths
Handsome man laying out over the worship side of the Baths.
After the bath tour we saw the Abbey. Then went down to the river. When I came to England for the first time 14 years ago I remember this waterfall and bridge.
If you look closely there is a bench Accroas the river. Uncle Golden and I wanted to sit there but there were people sitting there. We wanted them to move so we threw breadcrumbs. The pigeons swooped down. The people shooed them a way. We threw more bread crumbs. People shooed them again. The third time we threw a lot of breadcrumbs Twenty pigeons came. Finally the people left. We took their sweet seat. It was great.
