Pool builds go like this
1. Meet with designers
2. Sign contract
3. Pay a little money
4. Get them to dig a giant hole in your yard and destroy all of your landscape and sprinklers. They won't be around to fix the damage on the back end.
5. Rebar and concrete pour
6. Wait a month or so until the contractor needs more Money. Pay more money. Wait another week.
7. Tile coping and edging.
8. Wait more time
9. Pour the decking
10. Wait for "everything to dry" (that is contractor speak for let your guys finish all other projects take a week vacation then after they are good and rested come out to look at it and the mess of our yard and wait a few more days)
11. Coat the decking.
12. Repeat number 10
13. Spray plaster coating
14. Fill the pool for three days
15 break your back and shoulders scrubbing it with a 12 foot pole.
16. Pay more money
17. Come out and scoop up excess dirt. Leave your yard like an eye sore. The more trash left around your pool the more the better the "deal" you got because of the savings on clean up.
18. Pay more money while they dump acid in it and continue scrubbing.
19. Wait two more days.
20. Pay more money. scrub more.
If your lucky at the end of this 5 week process that takes 8 weeks then you can pay more money.
