Good Guys Car Show

We left Houston Thursday after pulling Eli out of school. We stopped at cork screw bbq. It is the best bbq I have ever had and the apple cobbler was good enough that I'll drive an hour again. Eli approved.   

When we were checking in to Marriott in Dallas there was a nice lady in the lobby who came up and asked how we were and Eli said "Great, I had a birthday in July but we couldn't do anything fun cause dad was working so we're coming up now to go to a car show." The lady was he manager and sent up a plate of cookies and milk to help Eli celebrate.  

The next morning we got up and went to breakfast for a pile of pancakes and I had a train robber burrito. It was amazing. Really good.    Next we went to the Giid Guys Car Show. It was really cool. Lots of pretty cars. Eli and I had a game where we would guess the year. He was right more than I was.     

This Cornette was Eli's favorite  so was the cool bus.   

Then I got to do a ride along at autocross. That was a blast. Those guys are super fast. 

  

 

 

 

 

Sammys blessing

Sammy finally got blessed. I almost filled out his record to read "Sammuel". Instead of "Samuel"

Oops. But here's the question, phonetically it sounds the same, what if I pronounced it "Jimmethius" but spelled "Sam". How would he be known?

 

Have you ever seen a brother more loved than Sammy P?    

Labor Day

I did not have to work on Labor Day this year. It was awesome. We set up the play park and had neighbors over. 

 

 

 

Day three

The Sunday after the wedding we went for an Ethiopian breakfast. It was actually a dinner at noon. We got to eat Ethiopian sushi. They cut  a steak right off the cow and serve it with seasonings. It tasted good but very raw.

Goldens wedding part two

We got up and took the kids to breakfast. We went to the original pancake house. It was really fun to have all the siblings there. 

 

 

 

 

Then we went to the Perot Natural Science Museum. The cousins loved it.

Goldens Wedding

Golden and Feven got married on Sept 2. There was a lot of celebration. It was a wedding like I had never been too. Lots of dancing. Here are some random shots. I got to officiate the wedding so I didn't get to take any/many pictures.
