Washington trip

After we left the coast, we headed to Moses Lake. On the way, we made two really fun stops. First, we stopped in Fall City at the fall city wallaby ranch. We saw baby wallabies in the pouch. It was really cool. They also had 3 kangaroos that were awesome. He says they are wicked smart.
After the wallaby ranch we went to Leavenworth. We had a fun time walking around.
Nicest auto parts store ever.
At the farm we had a lot if fun with the cousins.
Look at my princess.
Eli and the boys went water sliding in the ditch run off.
Gunny sacks prevent wearing out their shorts. After this we went to Libert's Pond.
Here is Eli showing Grandpa Baker how to play Clash of Clans.
We stopped and Columbia River near Vantage. We then went over to the Ginko Petrified Forest.
Kids had a great time!
Looking at Ginko presentation. Eli loves geology but Dora had a great time.
Road trip anyone?

August Family Fun in Moclips

We got in at midnight and because of the time change I couldn't sleep past 530. Here is pre dawn from balcony.
One hour later.
30 min later.
We went for a walk. As Texans we were not prepared for the 60 degree weather. But kids had a blast.

Sand Princess.
This is the busy season. I'm pretty sure we were the only people here. It was awesome. Miles and miles of perfect flat beach a couple hundred yards wide. Peaceful surf! If only I had a law chair and jacket.
We found tons of sand dollars!
Digging.  Digging. Digging.
Emerson found a clam!
He got really good at digging and actually found a half dozen or so.
Ivy found a tiny one.
They boys coulda stayed out there for weeks I think.
Dinner! Look at all the cousins. 5+4+5+4=hot dogs and hamburgers. And tons of s'mores.
After dinner beach walk

Big Things

Change.

Well, we are making a few big changes. I have been out of residency for over 4 years. I've been here at Sugar Land for 3 years. I really liked my job, and in the course if it I had two nurse practicioner students and really liked teaching. I was made physician of the year, and best communicator. These three things were neat, unexpected, and got me excited about doing more than just working in an ER. We looked around and found a job at a teaching hospital as an ER doc with the chance to teach. It also has back up for specialties like neuro, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery.

So I took the job and gave notice. I worked a couple shifts with the plan of commuting. Bridget wanted my off time spent at home not commuting. Nice to have a supportive wife.

We talked to a realtor, listed the house at 4pm Monday, and were under contract by Wednesday. We were listed to sold in 3 weeks. This week we stayed with Don and Carla. Next week we are headed to Washington for a week. Then we move, and start a new adventure.

It's been kinda hectic.
Here are some celebrations. Sparkling cider in fancy cups.
Inflatable Katy
Playtime at Carla's.
IHOP celebration.
Bonus:
Eli made this joke up:
What's a frog's favorite restraunt? IHOP!
