New baby adjustments

We had some crafts making Christmas rice crispy trains.

Here is Dora's.

I went a different route.

We got a play set, kid activities are more fun outside!

Kids having a ball.

I caught a glimpse of a passing reindeer!

Here is the jealous one!

Cute little stinker.

Stinker, always wants me to hold her!

My nighttime MI5 buddy. I am up to season 5 just because of our poor sleep schedule.

Here is Emmy doing what she does the most: crying! She is having a hard time being second fiddle.

My burper! So proud!

Here are Eli and Dora playing angry birds!

The kids really wanted to go swimming. That is right. In December. They could not be dissuaded!

Craft time with Grandma Lila

First of all, Bridget got her Christmas present-a new dining set! Here is Dora having a Tea Party with her bears and bunnies... Notice some if them get to eat strait butter!

This was one of those precious moments where I was glad to have a camera. This was story time... My beautiful wife and adorable kids having reading time before bed. Reading Dr Seuss and Spiders.

Grandma Lila has been great! Here we are making Christmas ornaments and having craft time.

Here is Emmy making what she does best: a mess!

Joy to The World, the angel proclaimed. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to Man!

Here is my reverent angel.

Look how the light makes her glow!

Eli came and got me. He was so excited.
"Dad, I found some owl poop! Come look!"
Me: where?
Eli: Over here! Gross huh!
Me: That isn't owl poop, it is moldy wallaby food.
Eli: Oh (disappointed), do I have to wash my hands? I touched it.
I mean he thought it was poop, he touched it, only after I said mold was he grossed out. My weird scientist boy!

Saturday!

Amethyst getting ready for bed.

So after struggling to feed Emmy I gave up. I tried fruit, pizza, pepperoni, bread, cookies... Nothing! She kept throwing stuff at the floor.

Then we saw this

She is wondering around the house with a bag of thanksgiving rolls she dug out of the trash.

My little trash eating stinker!

Fathers and sons

Growing up we didn't take pictures of anything. Camera, film, time, place to store pictures... There are so many reasons that pictures were hard...
But now cell phones are everywhere and they have cameras, video recorders, and audio recorders. Each with better resolution than we had growing up! Unfortunately, every moment is now documented! Every moment is a precious moment!
So here are some more. If you don't like it. Don't read my journal!

So Friday night was father and sons. We loaded all of our camping gear into the mini and were ready to have fun... Then the cloud burst and it poured for 2 hours. Eli and I went to Whataburger for dinner but it kept raining.

So we pitched the tent in the mancave next to the tree.

Here is a conversation I had

Me: Eli you having fun?
Eli: Yep, I feel like a teenager
Me: huh?
Eli. You know teenagers do fun stuff w their dads.
Me: Thanks
Eli: This camp out is so much fun. I love you dad!
Eventually, Eli fell asleep.

Note he is on his bag and mine.

Eli sleeps like a kickboxer warming up. He ducks and dodges and kicks and punches. I got kicked in the face a ton... The other complaint I have is this: I am getting old. That floor was not very comfortable! My back hurts... My face hurts too but that was Eli.
