Kids being kids

We played a lot this week.

So I have decided to go off nights. My headaches have been getting worse. I have been using more 5 hr energy drinks. And they are not paying me as much. But I am picking up two other part time jobs.
Dora went to academy with uncle Brian and I. They live the exercise stuff!
Eli got a new suit.
My running buddy. She plays while I'm on the treadmill.
Marathon feet. I have lost two toenails training and have 3 blood blisters from running.

Soccer coming to an end

Bridget took the kids to soccer on Saturdays while I ran to get ready for the marathon. But I did get to go to the last game and watch Dora score two goals. They had a ceremony where everyone got trophies. Kids were thrilled.
He was so happy!

Saturday Fun

We had some fun today. We did plaster projects outside I showed them how to make casts of hands and feet. We also made casts of random things like shells and Eli wanted to make a leaf fossil! Then we made a mess and just played.
These are our feet prints. Still drying.
We also took the mustang out for a spin then waxed it up nice. This week I need to get it serviced and do the carburetor.
Here is Pappa Don driving the gokart with Eli!
Eli made me this today. He made this on his own without help.

Project Manliness Part One

We were having some after school fun with the bow and arrow. Dora is actually pretty good too.
On an unrelated note, want to see what marathon training and Texas fire ants does to feet?

Emmy

The croup epidemic has almost passed!
But here is a pic of my sweetie petitie.

Close to Christmas and lots of croup

I was debating making a chicken coup and kiddo croup joke, but I don't feel like laughing.

Amethyst was really happy. She was bouncing all over. This was, of course, before what is known as Croup Epidemic in Baker's House 2013. Dora picked up croup in preschool and was kind enough to share it with all of us. At baseline there is a ton of Whining. Now that whining is longer, louder, and requires Tylenol and Motrin, even then my head still hurts: those pills just don't form a good sound barrier.
This morning, between Whining spells, we made a gingerbread house to celebrate Christmas! Now that Halloween is over, it's Christmas time! We are already singing carols.

Our chickens are moved outside now.
